- Tell me about a time when you had to handle a difficult situation with a coworker.
Sample Answer: One time, I was working on a project with a coworker who wasn’t pulling their weight. I scheduled a meeting with them to discuss my concerns and we were able to come up with a plan to divide the workload more evenly. From then on, we had a better working relationship and were able to complete the project successfully.
2. Can you give an example of a time when you had to adapt to a new process or system at work?
Sample Answer: In my previous job, we switched to a new project management software. I spent time researching and familiarizing myself with the new system, and even created a guide for my coworkers to refer to. This helped everyone make a smooth transition and we were able to use the new system effectively in no time.
3.Describe a time when you had to deal with a dissatisfied customer?
Sample Answer: At my previous job as a customer service representative, I had a customer who was extremely upset about a product they had received. I listened to their concerns and apologized for the inconvenience. I then worked with my team to find a solution that met the customer’s needs. By the end of the call, the customer was satisfied with our resolution and thanked me for my help.
4. Can you tell me about a time when you had to work under pressure to meet a deadline?
Sample Answer: At my previous job, I was tasked with completing a project that had a tight deadline. I created a detailed plan and worked with my team to ensure everyone was aware of their roles and responsibilities. We worked diligently and were able to complete the project on time, meeting all the requirements and expectations.
5. Tell me about a time when you had to make a difficult decision?
Sample Answer: In my previous job, I had to make a decision about whether to terminate an employee who was not meeting performance expectations. I gathered all the necessary information, consulted with my supervisor, and carefully considered all options before ultimately making the decision to let the employee go. While it was a difficult decision, it was necessary for the success of the team and the company.
