The Emerging Systems Lab/Telecom Systems Research (ESL/TSR) in Intel Labs is an innovative research group that works closely with Intel product groups, industry partners and consortiums as well as with the academic community to drive technology advancements and business impacts.

The group research and prototypes advanced network or edge workloads, e.g., 5G Private Networks, 5G telecom infrastructure, and system architecture to transition today’s networking infrastructure onto high volume Intel Architecture (IA) based platforms through a combination of software-defined networking (SDN) and network-functions (NFs) operating in virtualized or containerized orchestrated Cloud Native environments on IA platform.

We are looking for highly motivated software engineer and developer who will be collaboration with our research team to investigate, apply and develop state-of-art AI/ML optimizations to areas like energy efficiency of network, optimal resource allocation to meet user’s service level agreement, etc. In this role you will be required to analyze, design and prototype aspects of your research, workloads and/or system features and collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate and bring advanced networking system design and workloads to life.

Qualifications

� Proficient in C/C++, Python, Linux and knowledge of system software

� Proficient in AI/ML tools and technology

� Familiar with network architecture and protocols

� Knowledge of network or 5G cellular network architecture a plu

� Ability to analyze resources utilization issues in systems and propose enhancements to improve performance (e.g., energy, throughput, etc.) of a scalable and distributed system

� Ability to work in ambiguous technical environments Education/Experience

� Graduate student – PhD candidate in CS/EE
